i bought a used 1998 s90 volvo and the car didnt come with an owners manual.

this red light keeps appearing and disappearing...it looks like a red box with a fan inside and squiggly water lines under it...i dont have time right now to take it anywhere to get fixed but i would just like to know how serious this could be.

please help

check to make sure you have antifreeze. get to an autozone, if there is one near you, they usually will check out the coolant system for a small fee.
