Suddenly after restarting I notice rough idling and a message "Engine system service urgent" When I push the accelarator it doesn't let me rev the engine only up to 1500 rpm. I have a code reader which gave me DTC P0121 "Throttlr/Pedal position sensor circuit A....." I don't know if my throttle body was replaced. Went to some forums that sugested to take off the Throttle body and try to clean it.
Phone Volvo in Winnipeg MB they told me that the car goes into this stage so that no more damage can be made, and asked me to tow the car to them.
Is there anything I can check and do myself before I spend on the tow and dealer??
I am in the Us right now. When I get home I wanna try and take it off and try to clean it according to Vadis. Please help me I wanna drive my Volvo,
It's 1999 S80 T6 with 128,000 miles or 206,000km.

OK here is an update!

Read a couple of threads and done as people sugested. Unfortunatly no luck.
Yersteday it took me 3.5 hours to remove and clean the ETM. Not an easy job but possible.
After puting everything back together the problem still persists. Rough idle and the car is in Limp Mode (doesn't go over 30km or so.
The ETM as you can see in the pic has white sticker which indicates it is still original and has not been replaced. The newer has yellow sticker.
Today Aug 18th I took the car to Volvo Winnpeg MB to give them to look at it.

I'll keep you updated.

I don't know about these ETMs, but on the Mitsubishi I used to have the throttle position sensor was mounted on the throttle body and I heard they would occasionally go out. They cost about $100 and were easy to replace yourself once you got the throttle body off. Really, I don't think you'll need a whole new ETM as most of it is mechanical parts that don't fail.

Ok got an answer from Volvo Winnipeg and they told me that the ETM gone bad and they will replace it for FREE as it is covered for 10 years or 200,000 miles.
I'm so lucky. The part has been ordered from the US.
So i'm waiting.
