I have a 99 s80. Does anyone know the procedure to remove the back seat including the bolsters on the side. I have the cushion off already but am having difficulty getting the side bolsters off then will need to unbolt and disconnect the back part of the seat.

Does anyone know how

Thank you for your time.

Ok i have solved the issue of getting the rear side bolsters off. After that removing the back seat is easy. If anyone wants this information feel free to IM me. Thanks

To remove the back seat (part you sit on) just grab the front edge in the middle of each floor well and give some tugs straight upward. You might have to pull hard but it will come loose. There are no screws or bolts that hold the seat in, just two metal brackets on the bottom of the seat that go into the two recepticals in the floor.

As for the side bolsters, I couldn't figure out how to remove them. Can you explain how you did it? Any pictures?

Thanks,
Beachbum.

PS -- I found enough loose change and old french fries under my seat to live off of for a week!

The side bolsters push down to lock in place. To remove you just push up then out.

See OEM ipod installation, there is a picture there on how you can do this
