Hello everybody, this is my first post! :57:

I recently bought my first car. A beautiful 2004 Plantinum green Volvo S60, non turbo and non awd. I bought it from a place that sells new volvo's, they recieved this one as a trade in, I managed to get it before they brought it to auction. Anyways heres my problem. About 25 % of the time I accelerate and reach about 20 MPH the car seems to downshift, resulting in a burst of power. It lasts for about 2 seconds and then the car seems to upshift back in to the appropriate gear. During this time the RPM needle swings up and the engine makes a loud reving noise and the car seems to burst with power. This dosent always happen when I accelerate hard, but sometimes even when im barely accelerating. Although the reving isnt as loud and there isnt such a big burst of power, it still hapens. So I brought it to the place where i bought it. To make a very long story short, they said that it was just the S60's electronic throttle control and they told me that its completly natural. Yea ok @_@. I wasnt getting anywhere with them. I have called other dealers in the area they said pretty much the same thing, although some of them offered to take it for the day and test drive it. So here I am now, looking for someone to shed some light on this. Its gotten to the point where its getting bad and very annoying as its completly random. Im not looking forward to winter driving, if it does this "lurching" in the winter it could be dangerous. It just isnt "natural".

Sorry for such a long post guys, but Thanks in advance
