Very occasionally (3 times in the last 2 weeks of daily driving), for about 1-2 seconds, the headlights will dim, the radio might turn off, the ABS dash light briefly comes on, and then everything goes back to normal. On one occasion, the car stalled. Sometimes I am travleing and sometimes I am stopped.

I have tried loading the electrical system (e.g., brakes depressed, turn signal on, wipers on, A/C on, radio on) and I cannot get the symptom to occur. Voltage across the battery (and battery terminals) with the car off read ~12V. Voltage with the car running reads ~13.5V.

Car has 140K miles with original alternator. Battery is 3.5yrs old. Battery/alternator dash light has not displayed during these episodes.

Per some previous posts (that hinted at the ignition), I have not touched the key during any of the episodes.

Any ideas?

Hi! I had a similar problem. Sometimes the front lights and the dash/radio lights went completely black. It turned out that it was the worn key lock.
Hope that helps.
