Hi, I have a 2002 S60 AWD and I need to replace the turbo and froont driver's side wheel bearing (entire hub apparently).

Has anyone ever done either of these projects on an AWD before?

Any tips or copies of the service manual would be very much appreciated.

Someone with limited ability will manage the bearing/hub with a bit sweat. The turbo is another matter alltogether, you will struggle big time if you have limited experience on working on cars.
Turbo removal will include driveshaft removal and awd angle gear removal. So yes pretty involved.

I wouldn't say I have limited experience working on cars. As I'm looking at the PDF I don't see it mentioning removing the driveshaft or AWD angle gear. Is it because the directions are for a non-AWD car?

Mm, not too sure of this. I was with my friend who's a Volvo tech when he replaced my downpipe. The downpipe is bolted right to the turbo, and was easily accessible without removing anything.

yeah from what it looked like you might be able to do that from the top?

I think the turbo has to come out from the bottom.

Awd angle gear needs to be removed so yes more involved.

I could prob have a angle gear/awd unit out in an hour on a hoist but then i have done a few. The job is not extremly technical but is involved. If you have ability and time give it a go but it will prob take you a full day to remove/refit turbo if you have not done one before.

It would prob take me four or five hours all going well start to finish.
