I have a 1990 740GLE with 425,000Km. recently I have been experiencing idle problems. The engine stalls frequently at lights or stop signs as soon as I release the accellerator. I have been doing some of the diagnostics tests and it seems that the throttle position sensor is not working as the LED keeps flashing even after turning the throttle pivot wheel. The only fault code that shows up is 2,3,2 (fuel trim (lambda control) too lean or too rich at idle) How can I be sure that this is the problem. The stalling seems to be more common in warm weather or when the engine is warm. Where is this sensor/switch located. Can it be adjusted, or would it need to be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

with the car off pop the hood and open the throttle and close it repeatedly, you should hear a little tick when it moves from all the way closed to all the way open, if it doesnt tick its either bad or out of adjustment. probably bad.
