"Check Engine" light I got figured out. If comes on, something is wrong, read the code, fix it, clear the code. No problem. What is the "Service" light? I assume it's telling me it's time to change the oil or something, but how do I turn it off?

Thanks

The proper way is to get it deleted with a proper scan tool. THe MIL Scan Tool sold in the aftermarket doesnt have that function combined with the reading of error codes, unfortunately. You'd need a separate tool just to delete the Service Light.

HOWEVER, that said, i have heard about some people's trials, of deleting the Service Light using just the switching of the key, while in the ignition switch. I personally had tried it, but it doesnt work, so, i threw the instructions in the bin.

I dont know exactly which site i got it from, but you do a Google on it, and see what comes up.

Cheers.

He has a 94, he does not need the tool. Do you have a VDO gauge cluster or a Yak? You are turbo so it should be a VDO. If thats the case here:

volvospeed, how do you access the different "modes" for code retrieval? in your notes the code list is seperated into modes.
