Starting to get those squeaks from my worn endlinks. Took a look at them and the rubber boots look like poop, except all dried out.

I felt very confident at first about ordering the IPD endlinks as I plan on upgrading the anti-sway bars while I'm at it (BTW if anybody has any advice on me doing the sways please post), but I decided to take a look at what QBM has to offer just to say I "shopped around."

I found that I am somewhat convinced by QBMs marketing. So here's the question:

IPD endlinks or QBM? The beefiness of the QBM seems overkill, but I like the rod ends rather than ball joint.

I would just go with the QBM but the $100 USD difference is enough to make me think twice.

The QBM links are far larger in diameter and adjustable for tracking. The protective boot ends are required to help protect the links and need to be added to your price difference. Those expensive links have been reported to make the same noise you are trying to get rid of over a relatively short period of time. I installed the IPD links and really like the way they make no noise. Even though they are only 2mm larger than the oem's they feel substantially better built when you hold them side by side. The price is fair, and I have read almost zero posts about anything negative. I am currently waiting for the 25/25 sways from IPD before I can comment on them.

Found these being discussed at length on Volvospeed. These are Tomtbone's version of a heavy duty adjustable endlink.

Might have to give these a try with some more research.

You said it yourself, man.
Now you need to decide.
:)

I am presently using a non-stock end-link, which, like the IPD's endlink, is only slightly thicker than the stock Volvo endlink. And priced at much cheaper than the Volvo endlink.

Like you, i got amazed with the QBM stuff, but then again, i dont do track with this car, its my daily driver, and i only speed every once in a while. So, do i really need all those?

:)

Anyway, again, up to you, dude.
