Just got my 2001 S80 and I was wondering where to run the power wire for my amplifer. Since the battery is in the trunk already, is it a good idea to run the power wire directly from there? Or should I run it from the engine compartment leads back to the trunk?

Neither...There's an easier way :) Under the passenger seat (In the UK, might be under the drivers in the US) there's all the aplifier cables for the factory fitted Amp. Just wire it up from there, there's definatly a power one there. I'vr attached the info I could find on VADIS but it might be easier to use a voltmeter lol. Just DON'T uplug the seat and seatbelt power or the SRS warning light will come on and you will need to go to the dealer :o hope this helps
