[FONT=Courier][SIZE=7]Hello, I just bought a 99 volvo c70 and the winter mode arrow keeps flashing. when it does that, the brake light goes off too and stays. when that happens the car will take a while to take off. Just last night when I was parking the car at home, when I put it on reverse the whole front part just "jumped" and it sounded like I had hit something hard but I hadn't. I put it on reverse several times, and it only does that when I put it on reverse. What could the problem be?

one, did you press the winter mode button for the tranny? two, did you ever take it to a mech to have it serviced? if no to both of the those questions, you probably will need a tranny, hopefully not, since they are expensive, but the winter mode is the tranny starting off in second gear, that's why it doens't take off as fast.

Hey, thank you for replying :)

Well I have had it serviced AND no, I have not pressed the button for that. That's why I'm going crazy. All I know is that the Manual says that when it flashes, it means that there's a fault in the gearbox. I just checked it a few mins ago and it's not doing that anymore. Could it possibly be that the wiring is wrong so it's sending a false signal for the reverse gear???
