is this a well known mod? can this be done? this guy claims to have the kits to do this with your wipers. i think its cool, but truthfuly, what do you have to do to make that work really? and is it legal, like i really care. :haha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v647v1qRYp0&feature=related

if you notice, the steering wheel is on the other side, european volvo. might only work on the european models only. now, the question is, why? i never saw the fascination with one wiper. the mrs.'s old mercedes had one wiper, and it was effin huge!!!!!!!. didn't like it, it might work great on the autobahn, but get a good new york snow going, and it's crapalicious. great word, huh?

A girl once asked me out because she swore it was a car emported from europe, yea i remember, a Ferrari! :haha: i swear thats true!!! :haha:

Actually, you dont actually need a kit to do it. Just remove one, and fit the longer one (i think the driver side is the longer one, right?) some angles away from base-point.

Base-point is the point of rest when you switch the wiper off.

You will need to remove the screw and Adjust and readjust the wiper to get the maximum cleaning area. But caution, even at FULL turning, the 1-wiper style will NOT clean more of the front glass. Only most of the areas that was there before.

Me thinks that's dangerous, that's why me no modify. But if rain and snow is not a concern in your area, go ahead.

Plus, you have to make the wiper work extra hard to clean the glass, for you to be able to see, as opposed to when 2 wipers were on.

Cheers.

And i like the word CRAPALICIOUS!

i did that already. but this kit makes the wiper run from base to base. a full sweep. thats the differnce here. yea, when it rains, it rains like a rich man at the strip club! i just like that benz style!

I would be more interested in getting my wipers to do like the new honda civics like the left one goes out to the left and the right one goes out to the right. the only place it doesnt clean is in front of the read view mirror. Our Dodge caravan I drive at work is this way and they work really well in the rain, better than any wiper system I have ever used. Would this be possible to do? If you havent used this set up, you should check it out. The only way it could be better is if they put the washer nozzles on the wiper blades like on Pontiacs.

How about GINAMOROUS or VAGANUS? Urban Dictionary the second one. Speaking of urban dictionary. My uncle and I have arguments on whos car is better all the time. He has a 98 jetta glx vr6. I ended up reading on urban dictionary dot com the definition of the volvo 850 (possibly the best car ever made.......) VW Jetta (a very girly car that breaks down all the time....) sent it to him. Enough said lol.

The wiper motor base on the Merces, seem to suggest the motor is BIG.

Yeah I would go with BENZ parts over Vdub. Course I bet a window motor from a rear window would work if its one of those kind that bolts in in the middle.

im waiting for a reply from the maker of this socalled kit. if anybody with a righthand drive 850 thats aware of this mod it would be a godsend to explain how that works, once the secrets out, i will make a replica matching arm to fit the lefthand 850's. then if anyone likes it enougf then everyone can get one.
