I have had this misfire problem just appear out of the blue. The complete ignition system is new which was done 5 months ago except the coil pack . Cam position sensor is brand new and the fuel injection relay is brand new which i did yesterday. The car will do it when shut it off after work and then try to start it an hour later. But only misfires for 4 min at the most. Never pops a check engine light at all. I checked the computer and no codes. I can smell raw gas in the exhaust. I thinking that I should change the coil pack next. What should I do.

Complete ignition system, i assume includes the distributor cable?

Sounds like a Stage 0 issue to me. Stage 0 is the part where you check all the basic and important areas of a starting-up parts.
