Hi all, my 2002 s60D5 air con is giving me problems.

Everything seems to work ok except the air is not cold. I had it regassed twice adn there appears to be no leaks.

There is a sucking noise from inside the dashboard? Is it Darth Vader????

Could this be the evaporator?

The air which comes in is the same temp when the air con is on or off.

Any info appreciated.

I would guess your evaporator. Mine went bad and they have to take the entire dash out to change it. It ain't cheap. Mine ended up being (GULP!) $1,300.00 USD.

Does the cars air con pump make clicking sounds? if not the clutch is faulty very common on UK cars.
