Hi all, new here and it looks like I'll be the new owner of a 242 in a couple of days so I'll be around.

What is the bolt pattern and back spacing on a 76 242? It seems like back in the 80's a freind of mine used Ford or chev wheels on his 24? and they bolted right on. Any info on this?

Thanks

A buddy of mine used rims that also fit on the ford taurus front wheel drive.
Im not sure of the back spacing though.

So he used them on a RWD 240 series and not on the later FWD cars?

He used them on a 240 a 740 and then his 850 but they stuck out way to far on the 850 so he sold them to someone that had a taurus.

OK, well darn, I have several sets of nice vintage Ford RWD wheels though. I guess they won't work.

I have a buddy that is going to change out the stock alloys on his later model FWD turbo wagon. (sorry, I dont know what model). Will these fit?
