I have original Volvo speakers in the front doors and the rear shelf on my 240. I intend to replace the original speakers and the headunit.

Appreciate if I could get some advice / recommendations on speaker brands and speaker size to fit the front doors and the rear shelf.

Hi- I just did a couple of posts under "Volvo 240 speaker replacements". Since the OEM fronts were 5.25 I tried to do that, but ended up putting in 4" due to the shallowness of the doors coupled with the hole location relative to the door handles, and I'm totally satisfied with the Metrik 4", which I got at www.streetsoundsonline.com. I'd never heard of the brand, but every review I saw online was great, & they sound great low or high
