hi all,

my s40 t4 1999 is a bit creakey from the rear end at low speed. im pretty sure its bushes from having read this and other sites.

can anyone suggest a link or parts number for the bits i will need.

is it swing arm bushes front and rear like on partsforvolvo ?

Any of those can wear plus the anti roll bar bushes, most of the above will cause a knock though eventually. A good trick for a queaky bush is to spray the bush with wd40 and this will probably stop the creak for a while. Dont spray them all at once though as you need to know which one is squeaking.

My 99 T4 had the front round bushes replaced which were very worn, I also replaced the upper control arms and link arms although it turned out they weren't knackered. The anti roll bar rubbers were replaced along with the ends too, they werent too bad either. My car had done about 90k when most of that was done and alot of it didn't really need replacing, I was chasing a rattle that turned out to be a brake pad with no anti rattle shim:).
