Well since I have mellowed I have felt the erge to tell everyone that I enjoy the site and enjoy the IPD site as well . to date I have ordered or installed

Both Rear Light assemblies
flame trap kit
new wiper controller
fixed the non functional driver side wiper
new OD switch and gear shift knob.

Now a few things have come up though that maybe some of the folks here can help me with. On my 79 244 DL what size rims fit on it ? I have been searching and cant seem to find out. Wondering if anything besides volvo rims will fit on it? Since they are a bit hard to come by here in alaska ...

Thanks for all the help

Rick

measure center to center between adjacent studs-most wheel shops will know what that distance & number of studs translates too. It's not much help. but HT series Holden rims fit the 5 stud 88 model.

All 240s have 5x108mm bolt pattern with 20mm offset. You can use S60 wheels with spacers.

Volvo wheels are hard to find. IPD has alloys but they're costly. Once in a while discount tires online has alloys. Need to look around.

Best bet on getting original steel ones are from a junkyard.

Voxx MG's are about the cheapest new non-Volvo rims you will find. They are available in either 15" or 16". Any RWD Volvo alloy rim from the 240/260/740/760//940 range will fit your 240. Later 960s and FWD Vo9lvo rims need spacers to fit. 15" Virgo's from the 240 turbos look period correct on 240s 16" Hydra and 15" Draco's from 740 turbo's are nice. You should be able to get them in Canada or the lower 48.
