Hi..!

I'm in the same boat as Mr dharps (transmission conversion for 960).

I'm having the 940GL with auto and it's rather irritating as I've been a manual fan for most of my life.

I've been told that the 940 can accept the usual M46 or M47 gearbox from the 240GL (there's one here up for sale). Sorry, but no M90 here.

What I'm worried about is the longshaft length and the axel gear ratios.

If indeed I can use the M46 or M47 from the 240GL, I'll get on it soon. I'd love to keep the original auto longshaft too (I'm going to be broke soon..)

Here's a few combo I'd like opinions on.

1) M46 / M47 with current auto longshaft
2) M46 / M47 with 240 longshaft
3) M46 / M47 with 740 longshaft

Do I need to consider anything else besides the relay for M46..?

Am I being silly here..?
