I have just replaced both discs and pads on the front of my 440 GS 1.9TD and upon inspection both the calipers have locked dampers (I would imagine that's what they're called, the 2 bolts that slide in & out and have another 2 bolts that hold the piston housing onto the caliper, go into them), therefore resulting in my brakes binding, especially the right side which gets so hot after 5mins that I could probably light a fire if I was to hold paper to them...I imagine that eventually my new brakes are going to be beyond repair if I don't get this fixed ASAP.

I have checked all over, scrap yards (It would appear that volvo's never go in them) and my local dealers GSF (German, swedish and french car spares) and all they seem to stock is rear calipers, not even Ebay have front? Am I barking up the wrong tree or something?

To try and explain in better fashion...the part that you release 1 bolt and loosen the other, then swing up to change the pads, it has to rubber bungs between the bolt(s) and the part and it houses the pads.

Someone please help, where can I get these from at a reasonable cost?

Thanks
Wayne
