The convertible top has begun getting stuck while trying to put the top down, (the top stops midway, with the plank cover pointing up). I can get the top to the desired position by manipulating the top and once down putting pressure on the back cover. Unfortunately the manual tools designed to manipulate the top were not sold with this car (bought it 2nd hand).

1) Could someone tell me if another tool would work or if there is a website that sells these tools? It appears if I use a Torx type screw driver, that I might be able to operate one of the openings for the top, but as for the 2nd tool that looks somewhat like a T in the manual, I have no ideas.
2) When the top appears to be down and in the correct position, at times a beeping signal will sound, whenever the car is in motion. Sometimes this can be corrected by resetting the top several times. If anyone has suggestion, they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Tools - I had this problem as well but I did some digging around in the trunk and found that there is a correct sized Torque bit for the left hand tool slot in the tool kit, if yours isn't there, it is just a standard bit you can get, I believe it's a T25. Also the end of my tire iron looks like a screwdriver and fits perfectly into the righthand tool slot. I have used these to manually open and close the top and they work fine. I would suggest a drill with the proper bit for the task though, as it will go much much faster that way.

As for the top problems, there's probably not much you can do, I have a very problematic top as well. It picks and chooses what days it wants to work. I had it checked out at the dealership and they said it would cost $2400 US to fix it, so I just deal with having to run it through its paces open and shut to get it working again every once in a while.

Hope that helps ya!
