hi all i have a 07 xc-90.i got the car from a lease take over company so its still under lease.my problem is i rear ended someone and my drivers airbag has deployed .there is no real damage to the out side just the bag.i feel i have the knolage of airbag systems to do the job myself.i domt know how to get the airbag off of the steering wheel.the dealer wants a code number from the old bag before they send me a new one
the question is how do you remove the airbag from the wheel.ive only ever worked on ford bags and they have screws but mine does not

well then
i was probing around through the hole in the back of the steering wheel with a 8` screw driver bit and low and behold i hit the spring and the bag popped off.if you take the scewdriver bit and pry towads the centre of the steering wheel it relases the spring clip and pop ,airbags out
thank god i dont have to go to the dealer and pay for them to pop it off
i hope this helps someone else out
