I'm looking to install a T-connector in the lower radiator hose of my '86 245. This would facilitate draining the radiator of coolant without removing the hose from the radiator. Quicker and easier coolant flush.

Anybody know where I can get one of these T connectors?

I wouldn't do that IIWY, it might leak, and there's enough engine failures due to poor cooling systems without you increasing the risks on yours. If it really bothers you, pull the radiator out and have a nut sweated onto the side of the end cap low down, and drill thru the tank skin inside the nut to make a hole, then screw in a short bolt with a fiber washer, or plastic radiator drain tap., That would be safer, as long as nothing else leaked thereafter. Shame V didn't do it themselves when they built it tho'.
WARNING: There's a cooling coil for the transmission oil on the RHS. of the tank, so BE careful!!!

Volvo uses that spot in the lower rad hose for a coolant temp switch on some cars.

I don't think I'll be tapping in to the rad but thanks for the sugg.

Maybe swap the rad from a Ford -- already has the tranny coil and coolant drain ;-).
