First time poster.

Found this at a large dealer in a nearby state. It's a V70 GLT Wagon with 37,000 one owner miles. I've already seen the CARFAX and it's clean. This was traded in with an identical model wagon with 45,000 miles on it by a local couple who bought two 08 models.

We've only seen the photos and the CARFAX, but from what the salesperson has told us, either car is pretty sweet.

Now what I'm worried about: The dealer would be driving the car over and taking our trade in back. I'm not sure if our mechanic would be able to check it over before buying it. And the reviews I've read on this model range from "great" to "a lemon".

I just am having a hard time passing this year of car with this few miles up. We're getting no bites on our Van we would be trading in and my wife has always wanted a Volvo wagon.

We'd be getting it for a little over $ 11,000.

Any opinions?

Thanks.

as long as the carfax confirms the fact that it has that little mileage, i would invest in a code scanner, either the $40 or the $140 and scan the codes. get him to let you drive it around for about 20 minutes, then take a scan. see if any codes pop up. if none, then it just has to do with how much you are buying it for. just be aware that volvos are veeeery picky about their maintenance schedules. keep abreast of it and it'll last a good long time. get a little sloppy, and it'll tell you. other than that, good luck and keep us posted.
