can anyone help??????

i have a 1998 v40 1.8i
i have a really annoying squeal that comes from outside my car
it sounds like brake squeal, but only happens when i steer at slow speeds
if i brake or accelerate it goes away, and it doesn't happen if the steering wheel is fixed and is straight,
i've only ever noticed it when steering right, but it continues to squeal all the time im steering to the right!!!!

I had a scraping noise intermittantly coming from back wheel (V40 1.8ltr) 2 months ago, turned out that I need the brake pads changed
