Hello everybody,

I am new to this forum and need your help in my problem with 1998 V70. This is a 1998 V70, 2.4 non-Turbo engine car. I am having a constant Cyl #3 and cyl #5 misfire, and the car is so week that as soon as I put it in Reverse or Forward it almost stops unless I push more on the gas pedal.

I have already checked the pressure on every cylinder which are between 150 and 160. I have bought new set of spark plugs, ignition wires and rotor. I have also cleaned the injectors, and switched the positions. After all these work, none seems to help. I still have misfire on the same cylinders.

I will appreciate any recommendation/help.

Thanks

Possibly the electronic throttle that most of these casr fail on, only 1000 Euro to put it right at the main dealer, (No apology for poor reliability)

The 1998 doesn't have the electronic throttle system.
You might have bad injectors. If all the parts are new then I would look at the injectors. Are you 100% sure the wires are in the proper firing order?
