please help!!!
i have just bought a 1998 v40 estate, its the 1731cc base model (no a/c, leather, etc)

i am pleased with my purchase tho as i have a genuine 36000 miles 1998 dark blue v40 estate with genuine un-scuffed alloys in mint condition for only £1850!!!!

the only problem is that the central locking, alarm, remotes, etc don't work!!!!
i have replaced the batteries in the remotes and checked all fuses are ok-still no joy!!

no doors unlock via the key central unlocking and the remotes do nothing even with new batteries!!

can someone please help!!!

update!!!

i read through some of the other posts relating to keyless entry etc, and subsequently removed the small plate below the steering wheel,to check the little grey keyless entry/allarm/immobiliser control box
to my surprise i found the problem staring me in the eyes!!

some twit had unpluged the one of the cables from the box!!!

plugged it back in and hey presto-allarm going off like crazy, but one click of the remote and all reset and working perfectly!!!!!
