Hi Guys,

I want to switch out my leather steering wheel for a wood one. Would one from an 06 s80 fit? It looks to me as the same wood wheel was used for the xc90, s80 & s60. Also since I''ll have to change out the driver''s side air bag, is that just plug & play or does the dealer need to do any computer work to it?

May I ask why you want the wooden steering wheel? I have had my XC90 since March, and I really dislike the wooden wheel. It is extremely hot to the touch in the summer, and quite slippery. My 90 just happened to have it as an extra.

Also, be very careful when removing your seatbelt each time. My wheel is all nicked across the bottom. Could not figure out why until I realized that the metal part of the seatbelt was hitting the wheel each time I removed it! Go figure.

I aways liked the look. I had a wood wheel on my last car & it was something I wanted for this one. I actually picked up one from ebay for $150, so I thought that was a great deal! Now I just have to find the airbag. I work out of my house and my car is mostly garaged so I can live with the heat....
