I've had my 2008 C30 T5 for 2 weeks now, went driving in the rain the other day and... the sunroof leaks!!!!

It's a fairly constant dripping from the back 2 corners of the sunroof into the space between the outside roof and car ceiling. The sunroof was closed a couple of days ago using the automatic full closing function so not a user problem. Luckily I spotted the leak in time and put paper tissue into soak it up!

I've noted on a number of other blog sites that leaking is a know problem for the C30 (albeit around the doors appears more common):

My dealer says it's the first he has ever heard of the problem but with so many others reporting the issue I find that hard to believe...

What is the answer here?

Have the dealer fix it under warranty.

Take it to the dealership until they get it right. Listen for their typical excuse......"Volvos are made for safety--not for heavy rain and automatic car washes"

That seems to be their famous lame answer for sunroof and window seal leaks.

You know what us 850 owners are facing? Volvo used organic/biodegradable glue to put on the sunroof seals back then. Supposedly everything on a Volvo is recyclable. Now that glue is starting to break down over the past 10+ years since they have been made. The c30 owners here bought a new car, with it came a warranty. Use it until they get it right.
