1999 C70 Convertible. I'm experiencing a problem putting the top down. The rear lid opens as it should and the top drops down into the well, but the boot/tonneau cover remains in the raised position. IE: It is sticking straight up into the air and will not close.

Any advice on how to fix or where to start looking to troubleshoot?

Some switch has failed, unfortunately there is not much us shade tree mechanics can do. I have luckly found a very honist and good Volvo shop in my area (Sacramento CA) that I take my C70 to when the top has problems.
