Yeah, probably should go in the Suspension, Wheels & Tires section, but it's 850 specific. Besides, the last post in SWT was like, what, a month ago? Not exactly a hotbed of activity.

Anyway, I got wheels on my car and the tires rub just slightly on the frame at full lock, and a little less than full lock if there is any suspension compression. They are 17x8 with an offset of 40. The tires are 215/45. It's not really a problem, but I plan to put some springs on it, at which point I assume it will be a problem.

My thought was spacers, but don't know what size. Anybody have this problem? What size solved it? 5mm? 10mm? Also, I want to push the rear out. I don't like that the rear track is narrower than the front, or at least appears to be. Again, anybody been there? Got a pic, and info on what size spacers? As I mentioned in another post, I don't mind rolling fenders if need be.

Thanks

You can opt to get the steering rack spacers to fit in there. But warning though, it would limit the turning radius, and more often you'll find yourself doing the three-point turns in more than the supposed three turns...
HEE HEE

Took me a while before i could adjust. Of course, by then, the fron bumper needed repainting. Argh.

You can use the spacers if you want to, yes. Since the rolling pressure is on the front tyres, less and limited pressure would be channeled to the rear tyres.

However, the use of spacers would mean the original bolts may not fit into the holes all the way. If you are as worried as i am, you'd prolly want to go for longer bolts.

But hold on, if you look in the Garage, i have opted for a lesser 'effort' way. I used wider tyres.
I'm using 225 for the back.
:)
