I have just installed a Parrot CK3100 bluetooth handsfree kit. Everything works fine apart from the stereo not muting when I place a call or a call is received. There are 3 mute cables and I have tried each of these without success.

Has anyone else had this problem?

There is no mute input in to the Volvo headunit so it will not pause the unit but the parrot should stop the music and place your call through the speakers.

Hi Dandle, thanks for replying to my post. I have added a post to the Parrot forum with a lot more information and responses from other people. Could you have a look and this and give me your opinion and I would really like to get this working:

My SC805 radio didnt support mute/pause. If your parrot is wired in correctly then when you recive a call and answer it a relay in the CK3100 unit should click over this cuts the radio signal to the speakers and connects the parrot kit to them, is this what you reffering to not happening?

The mute wire from the parrot kit doesnt actually need to mute the stereo as the speakers are disconnected from the radio when a calls in progress. What it does do though is pause the current cd or tape and if the radio supports it mute it as well although this isnt needed. None of these functions for pause/mute are supported by Volvo units in S40s.

Did you buy the Parrot Volvo Adapter lead or have you tried to wire it in manually? http://www.nexxia.co.uk/Car_kit_installati...lvo.htm#target1
