Drives: 1994 Volvo 850
I'm replacing the right CV axle entirely, but I'm not sure if the new axle has this mount on it. The pictures of new axles don't show it, and I don't want to trade in my old axle as a core with the mount on if I'll need it and it comes off.

How does this come off? Or is it simply part of every axle, and I'm worrying about nothing?

Which mount are you referring to?
Try asking your parts clerk or your mechanic to 'borrow' a 'puller' for the mount, and see if that can be done.
