Drives: 2005 Volvo S40 2.4i
My front two tires on my S40 2.4i are low on tread. I need them replaced. However, I'm not satisfied with those tires (Michelin). I get horrible traction in rain & snow & uphills. Is there any reason why I can't go with a different brand & tire on the front two only? I would rather not replace all 4. I'm thinking since its not AWD, it should be fine. Any thoughts?

:) No problem with different brands of tires just as long as the tire size all match
