Thanks for any help.....this car has the REX/Regina system .....Started missing (only for the first 1-2 minutes...car runs great after that)and car was due for new plugs, wires and dist cap and rotor..so, I didn't think twice about putting in the new stuff...to my amazement, the car still misses ...only #3 does not get a spark and if i move my timing light to the coil wire, I can see the miss there....I've also been able to look at the rpm sensor but I'm not sure how it should look....I'm seeing a lot of intermittent spikes riding on what appears to be an ok signal ....the spikes are still there after #3 starts firing.....!!???? I feel like I'm starting to bark up the wrong tree.

It was suggested that I put a new RPM sensor ...so I did, did NOT fix it ..oh, and by the way, there are no codes set.
