Need so direction, i have a 2004 S60 AWD and the medal spring clip that releases the Fuel Filler Door broke. Where can i get a replacement? do i have too replace the entire Fuel Filler door or can i just get the clip? I can still open the Fuel Filler Door, but it's not spring loaded any more i have to manually pull the door open to fuel the car.

thx
Mike

You don't have to replace the door either, unless the latch is broken like it was on mine.

www.vlvworld.com just click S60 (it's the same spring clip for all the models)
I know they have it there because I've seen it there before.

It may be easiest just to run by your local Volvo dealership and buy the piece. This is a pretty common thing they keep in stock.

While you're at it you may just want to replace the entire hinge, not just the spring, because you may find that in order to change the spring it may be easiest to change the entire hinge. The process for removing the hinge involves breaking the anchors into the vehicle, so I'd say go ahead and buy the spring and the hinge.

I believe mine cost me roughly ~$30 for the hinge & spring, at my local Volvo dealership. You could shop around but s&h might get you.
