Hi guys,

I have a problem with the rear wiper on my V40. It is not touching the window during the middle of its wipe. The arc to the left and right of the wipe is fine but in the middle it lifts off from the glass due to the curve of the window.

I have replaced the wiper blade twice using a Bosch and then a genuine Volvo part but this hasn't made any difference. The wiper arm doesn't look bent of anything so I was wondering if anyone else had had this problem.

I've resolved this issue by purchasing a new wiper arm. Cost a fortune from Volvo but I had very little option!

I had the exact same problem, purchased a new wiper blade from volvo and it was the same, I pushed the arm closer to the window which helped a bit but still did not do a complete clean wipe. In the end I solved the problem cheaply by buying one of those flat wiper blades from tesco - a universal 16" one I think which because the flat blade is curved slightly towards the window it always keeps contact with the window for the full sweep.

Only cost about £8.00
