Just about to service my V40 with the hope of getting it through it's emissions test as it failed it's MOT last week on high C02 levels (50% above pass rate) it had a non OE cat fitted last year I think it's not doing it's job very well....

So am I in for any suprises? I am changing the plugs, air filter, oil filter and fuel filter, the cars been a bit down on power and hesitant on lower revs (stutters a little pulling away unless the revs are a little higher than normal) for a while it's on 145,000 miles so she's a little tired :)

Will I need any special tools to do the service? It's a P reg 1.8 V40 estate, thnaks everyone.
