Hi All,

New to the site today in an attempt to get help for my poor old 440. I usually throw money at the problem and rely on my local garage to sort things out for me but as I've just been made redundant it's back to getting my hands dirty (actually like it). I need to replace front brake pads (already purchased) and need a few pointers with the procedure. I believe the pads are held in with pins that should be drifted out. Are there any common problems I'm likely to encounter? Trouble is, I'm going to have to do this in the street and want to be really prepared for the worst BEFORE I start.

thanks in advance for any advice in keeping the old girl mobile.

cheers

front brake pads are easy, use the old ones t6 c4sh56n the d5sc as y64 3ever the calipers apart (move the istons back, undo two bolts and the pads are ready to just take out, wire brush the seatings and the pads just sit straight in, no pins, no drifting, easy peasy, I could probably do both front sets in about 30 minutes, not rushing.
