Woe is me....I just joined up this morning and me Volvo 940 which I just got 3 weeks back just died on me...

Was making a turn and, well...engine just went to into a coma...

Checked the batt - OK, checked the spark plugs - OK, checked the fuses - OK, checked the fuel pumps - OK (heard a soft whizz when I turn the ignition on...)

I'll be checking the engine controller unit (is that what it's called..? The unit on the right side just above the headlamps...)

What else could I go check..?

:(

Hi,

I had something like this when my fuel level was low, took a turn in high speed and the engine just shut off for a few seconds.

Check your fuel level.

I got home late evening and together with a mechanic friend went to have a

looksie at my car. After fiddling with some cables, he found that an item which he

called "timing sensor cable" was faulty (a picture enclosed).

He called some of his supplier buddies and they managed to give him one.

A couple of minutes later and it's working...!

Can't believe a little thingy like that could stall the whole vehicle..

I'm going to have me hands full with the 940....
