Well, I bought the right belt, found the right tools, and now my neighbor and I can't for the life of us figure out how to get this puppy on the pulleys, and then tightened down. He loosened the bolts that appear to be the ones that would allow the tension to loosen so we could slip the belt on, but couldn't get anything to budge at all. We've used a bit of WD40 (not on the belts and pulleys, just on the joints behind them), and tapped on it a bit, and used lots of leverage, but we still can't get any movement at all, except of the whole engine and housing.

Is there some magic trick that we aren't catching on to? Also, should the ac belt go on flat side in or out? (We can't get it on either way, so so far, this hasn't mattered.)

To save us from uttering any more colorful Navy language, please offer some guidance if you can. Many thanks!

There's one more bolt you're missing!
It's right behind the compressor & below it. You can hardly see it!
Feel for it and loosen to make the compressor slide then slip on the belt.
remember to tighten this bolt last.
