Greetings. I'm starting to look for a V90/960 wagon. Wikipedia says that they made this vehicle with a manual transmission. I haven't seen a manual for sale and am thinking that they might not have brought manuals to the US. I once converted a 1972 1800 from automatic to manual, but there were donor cars available that that had the pedals and cable. Any one know if a V90/960 is convertible to manual transmission?
Thanks
Doug Fay, FLorida

if there are manual 960's then it can be converted. check in canada, i know that the 850 R's came in manual but not in the US. so it might be the same for your model volvo. good luck and keep us posted.

There were no 95-98 960's that came with manuals in North America.
There have been a few guys over on Turbo Bricks that did a manual
conversions. Biggest hurdle is all the parts need to be shipped in from
Europe. There is only one transmission that will bolt up and it is the
M-90 5 speed. It might be cheaper to see if Ross Converse up at
Converse Engineering could do a T6 transmission conversion on your 960.
Ross is the guy that does the V8 Volvo conversions
