Hi to all,
I have owned my V70 D5 s auto for approx. 6 mths, recently the amber warning triangle has come on, on the dash, the digital time display clock races forwards on ignition and the display msg comes up with a 'SRS airbag service urgently required'.
I took it to a garage and had the computer read on the vehicle and the code P0244 was indicated, the mechanic cleared this fault, but since doing this -
the triangular amber warning light remains on.
the SRS fault still indicates
the clock still races.
and now the directional indicator lights on the dash and the audible sound when indicating only operate intermitently. ?????? HELP! Any advice welcome
*Apart from all of this the car has 167,000 miles (FSH) and drives excellently.

The problem with your indicators is almost definately the relay which is a common fault and is unrelated to the srs problem. The srs problem may be that beleive it or not it is linked in with the air conditioning unit and I found this out when I inadvertently unplugged mine without dissconnecting the battery first as per the manual. It could be that the fitting is loose or a loose wire at the back causing the problem to re occur. I know that once my dealer had cleared mine it stayed away. hope this helps and good luck. Mike

Thanks for your reply. I just wondered if you had to take your vehicle into the dealer for diagnostic, its just that i called my dealer re the prob. and he quoted £90 to tell me what the prob. could be then the repair on top. The thought of a major bill at the end of it leaves me a little apprehensive. Could any auto electrician sort this prob?

My advise would be take it to a dealer, act dumb, see if they have a minute to check (thats all it takes for a readout) and make a decision from there. if your dealer won't help find a local independent.
