I have a 2.0 S40 with 142,00 miles. When I bought it it had a stuttering around 2000 rpm. The garage I bought it from (I think) bodged a repair by placing a partial gasket over egr recirculation pipe. This origianlly soved the problem but then I kept getting intermittant fault where the power cut out arund 2800 rpm. A common fault I belive.

I have had the egr replaced which seems to have fixed the power loss at 2800 rpm but the intermittaant power loss has now returned. Any ideas? It's just a mild stuttering really but is quite annoying.
