Does anyone know if a 1999 volvo v70 will continue to run once the vehicle is cranked on the alternator once you have taken the battery out of the circuit?

if you mean will the car keep running without a battery then yes it will but I would be very carefull not to let the positive battery lead touch the car chassis.

Bit confused as why you would want to remove the battery and run it on the generator though?.
