Hi.
I've recently bought a 2nd-hand Volvo S80 and am having trouble getting the SatNav to work. My car has a built in monitor which pops up from the dash when the engine starts. I can view TV, when selecting this using the source button, but there doesn't appear to be a Sat Nav option. Once I start driving, the monitor stays popped up displaying an error message it can't read the DVD in the DVD player. In the glovebox there's the SatNav DVD's and the instruction manual but I can't for the life of me find where the DVD player is that operates the SatNav.
Can anyone help?

its in the trunk to the left. If you look the left side of the trunk isnt as deep as the right. You have to open that up. I think its a little panel you move to the side (not sure dont have nav). But i know its there.

Many thanks. Have now found the Satnav DVD ROM drive (and also a real surprise of a 10 CD changer as well!)
However when I insert any of the Map Discs, I still get the error message saying it can't read the discs. Do I need up to date discs or is there some form of subscription that I need?

Not sure about that, like i said i dont have a Nav system, but from what you said about being able to choose TV as a source, i think you might have something like an IMIV installed in the car. IF you do you could link a external video source up to display on your Nav screen. That might be causing some kind of trouble, and you might have to work around it some other way than normal.
