Greetings To All Fellow Volvo Drives,

I'm new to the forum, been driving Volvos since 77. We're on our sixth and will never switch.

My question regards cross bars. I plan to leave them on the car and wonder which would be the best type to get. Round, square, or the wing shaped. I only plan on carrying a few surfboards.

Your comments on your experience will be greatly appreciated.

Just went thru eBay for Thule CrossRoads and 58 inch loadbars; locks, endcaps (some dealers charge for them!) and shipping, under $200. Not swoopy or sleek but carries the 'yaks like a champ. Only prob is, they whistle a bit, and I'm just too lazy to try some fore/aft tweaking to see if that eliminates it. A deflector would, I'm sure.
