I'm in the middle of replacing the HU-655 unit with an aftermarket Sony headunit on a MY2003 V40.

I have the adapter cables for the wiring harness and the aerial connection courtesy of Autoleads but I am still lacking the output for the front speakers / amplifier.

It looks as though I will have to make up a cable to connect between the 8-pin DIN socket and the standard RCA phono sockets on the back of the new unit.

Is this correct? There is also a 5-pin mini DIN but I thought that this would only be used if a CD changer was added to the original HU-655.

Any advice greatly appreciated!
