Hi, I have annoying clunk w/ bumps on 2000 s80. It has 128K, at about 105 it got oem struts,, upper motor mount, timing belt/ idler/ water pump, all tie rods, spring seats and disc and brakes all around, and f&R sway bar links and a new right caliper as pads worn crooked and caliper was scraping inside of wheel.

I have clunking front, mostly drivers side, does not go away w/ light brke pressure while going over clunk, everything seem tight, I ck w/ suspenion hanging as well as w/ car on suspension
what am I missing? subframe bushing? some kind of oring filler i read about?

looks like upper strut mounts.

hi...I had a clunk when backing out of my driveway ,shifting from reverse to forward gear.also clunked on acceleration and when going over bumps. had it in for an oil change,mechanic checked ball joints,lower right balljoint was on its way out.
$60 for the part,about 20 minutes for him to change it.....clunks gone.

I was also getting a clunking noise out of my front end, especially noticeable on small bumps. Turns out it was the control arm bushings which the dealer replaced under extended warranty. This happened at about 85K miles. Hope this helps.

The only things left are the strut mounts, control arm bushings, and the spindle ball joint.

also check your sway bar ends. My drivers side link popped off. major clunking.

I had this same issue repaired about two weeks ago. Sway arms, bushings, and lower ball joints were the culprits.
