Wanted to know

1. where can I get a used or rebuilt turbo for a 98 s70 GLT.

I havent looked at the car yet but he said its spitting oil all over. I dont really know if the seals are ok to replace or if they fired the internals and everything else, trying to keep it easy and quick for him. Its still spooling but blowing oil so Im thinking I might be able to bust it down replace the seals and put it on, but If I cant I need to know where I can get another one. He said hes called around and hasnt found jack ***.

LIm not a noob to turbos but I have not 1 clue how the Volvo is set up. Im asking for any tips, advise at going to see if the turbo is ok or not.

Thanks to all that help me out!! Ill check up on this thread Ive made a couple times a day so dont be afraid to post up something!!!!!

Do you know the ID for the turbo??

IE. The stock turbo on the srt4 neon is TD04 (mitsu also). The Stage 3 turbo upgrade is TD05(" ").

When your looking to replace make sure you have the correct type of flange, both # of bolts and size. A td04 for a subaru, and a td0f for a mitsu 300gt are going to have different flanges even tho they contain the same number desgination.

I'd look at getting it rebuilt, will save you a lot of money and work like brand new for a fraction of the cost. If your a performance nut many shops will to port and polish as well as compressor wheel work too.
